Privacy Policy

HeldBack is a product of Kynth Studios, operating from New York. You can reach us at heldback@kynth.studio about anything on this page, including a request to delete what we hold. We are a private service with no affiliation with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, any awarding agency, or any other public body.

The Retainage Blocker Check takes a company name or UBI number, queries two public Washington State datasets, and returns the result. There is no account, no sign-up and no email field. We do not store the term you searched for against any identifier, and the records you see back are public records that were already published by L&I.

Checkout collects your email address, billing address, the company name you file under, and either your UBI number or the Intent ID of the contract you want prepared. We need those to produce the packet — a closeout packet for the wrong company is worthless. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.

Stripe handles payments and card data. Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard request logs. Supabase stores order and contact records. Resend delivers email we send you. Each is a processor acting on our instructions, and we do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone else.

If you buy a packet or a watch subscription we email you about that order. If you received a cold email from us, your business contact details came from a public Washington State filing — the Statement of Intent you filed carries the email address. Every message has a working unsubscribe, and asking once is enough; we do not write twice.

Order records are kept while your purchase is active and for as long as tax and accounting rules require afterwards. Contact records for outreach are deleted on request, and suppression entries are kept permanently for the sole purpose of making sure we never contact you again.

Email heldback@kynth.studio to see, correct or delete what we hold, or to be suppressed from all future contact. We will do it without asking why. If you are in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights, this is how you exercise them.

We use first-party product analytics to count page views and understand which parts of the site get used. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build profiles for advertising purposes.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
